Funding

Demo Finland’s total revenue in 2024 was EUR 1.76 million, compared to EUR 2.37 million in 2023. The organisation’s total expenses in 2024 were EUR 1.74 million, compared to EUR 2.36 million in 2023. The decrease in revenue was mainly due to the end of Finland’s bilateral programme in Mozambique funded by the Finnish MFA.

The MFA-funded programmes’ total costs during 2024 were around 1.68 million euros. Demo Finland also received funding from the European Commission for the WYDE Civic Engagement programme, and from Europe Information.

Demo Finland also collected 15,000 euros as membership fees from its Finnish member parties.

An infographic that shows the funding sources: MFA programme funding 95.7%, EU WYDE 1.8%, Europe Information 0.9%, membership fees 0.9% and others 0.7%.
An infographic that shows the use of funds as follows: international programmes 70.8%, work in Finland supporting the international programmes 20.7% and administration 8.5%.
